Hi Victoria,
I dont know if you will get this as its been a while since you posted but...
My husband is directly related to the Gt Yarmouth Stantons and his Grandfather and Gt Grandfather were both named George but I have never come across  George R. Stanton born in 1870 who was an actor.
I can only assume that it is not his correct surname.
