Help needed please for marriage/death Isabel Burnside

Any help appreciated,  trying to find marriage or death for ISABEL BURNSIDE b1790 Haddington daughter of William Burnside and Isabel Halliday.

Cant be the same person but maybe the same family.....  I have an Isabel Burnside marrying James Cowan at Morham in Haddington in May 1796, and I have a record of their son John Cowan baptised 29th Dec 1814 at Morham. (my great great grandfather)

I am pretty sure Isabel Burnside married to James Cowan will be related in some way to my Burnsides not sure how though.
I realise you are tracing the Cowan family but was wondering if by any chance you know the parents of Isabel?
You may already have this  ....on freereg there is a James Cowan dob23 Sep 1801  Garvald parents James Cowan/Isabel Burnside also had a look on freecen 1841 and looks like James aged 65 and Isabel aged 70 are still alive with George Cowan aged 30 could be a son.

Hi Tom

Isabel Burnside christened 1 Aug 1790 parents William Burnside/Isabel Halliday is definitely my line but I am having problems finding Isabels death date.I have from SP a death for Isabel Lawson nee Burnside died 1866 aged 77years which works out but Isabels parents names on death record are recorded as William Burnside/Isabel Richardson not Halliday so I am a bit stuck.Any advice on this appreciated.

Hi Fiona,

I have seen this often with death certificates, that the person registering the death just gets mixed up, I know I made my Dad a year older when he died. Sometimes these are genuine mistakes, it makes it interesting trying to build family trees!

Was it a close relative or a friend who registered death?

informant on Isabel Lawson nee burnsides death record is John Robertson grandson.I have tried checking for daughters Isabella and Anne Lawson marrying a Robertson and having a son John Robertson to no avail.
Im stuck.
