Hiya Audrey,

I looked at the Spinning Wheel Census (Flax Growers List 1796) for McKnights.

These are the only ones on the list ...

John M'Knight, Enniskillen. Fermanagh
John M'Knight, Ballee. Down
Widow M'Knight, Killashandra. Cavan

Audrey, you may know all of this, but just to keep it all on the boil
From glenravelonline.com/_downloads/cliftonstreetcemetery/Regis
Records start 1831.
In 1875  April 13  Robert McKnight  Breaking up of Constitution)  Aged 76 Tailor Belfast Union Workhouse  Native of Belfast  3, Grave Number 6

In 1892 July 23 Matilda M McKnight (Consumption) Aged 25 Dressmaker 4 Castlereagh Road Native of Belfast Wall. New Part, Grave Number 33

Then I switched to Mary Lennons great website
www.lennonwylie.co.uk/index.htm
Lennon  1843 none, in 1861
McKnight, George, car owner, 136 Millfield.
McKnight, Wesley, saddler, 9 Victoria Street. But use her main search engine and you get more still in 1861 eg
RAPHAEL STREET  off Cromac Street
7  Mrs. McKnight..
13 Andrew McKnight, watch and clock maker.
CARGILL STREET Townsend street to Boundary Street
17   Charles McKnight

Again from the search
Bernard E Donahue Location: Riverside, CA (Formerly Philadelphia, PA)
• McKnight: I am the great-grandson of Mary McKnight. Mary McKnight was the daughter of David McKnight and Roseanne McIlroy of Belfast. Oral history is that David was strident Protestant who converted to his wife’s Catholicism on his deathbed. Mary McKnight married Frederick Reid in St. Patrick’s RC Church in Donegall St., Belfast on 3 April 1888. Lived in Artillery St. in New Lodge Road area of North Belfast before emigrating to Philadelphia in 1904 with 9 children. Settled in Old St. Augustine’s Parish. She is buried in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Then I looked at 1880
McKnight, Charles, manager, 35 Percy Street
McKnight, D., pastry baker, 25 Boyd Street
McKnight, David, book keeper, 35 Carlisle Street
McKnight, Dickson, & Co., wine and spirit merchants, 19 Church Lane
McKnight, Matthew, (of McKnight, Dickson & Co.), wine and spirit merchant, 74 Avoca Terrace, University Street
McKnight, Hugh, cabinet maker, 12 Palmyra Terrace
McKnight, Hugh, painter, 108 Reid's Buildings
McKnight, J., (of Keys & McKnight), 12 Fleetwood Street
McKnight, J., fruiterer, 1 Israel Street
McKnight, J., spinning master, 46 Aberdeen Street
McKnight, John, fruiterer, 99 Peter's Hill
McKnight, Margaret, winder, 141 Cambria Street (Cambrai)
McKnight, Mrs., 10 Lower Crescent
McKnight, Mrs., 308 Conway Street
McKnight, M., spirit merchant, 74 Livingstone Terrace
McKnight, Thomas, Editor of Northern Whig, 12 Wellington Park
McKnight, T., cabinet maker, 50 Regent Street
McKnight & Sons, cabinet makers, Academy Street

I think that’s enough from me, and don’t forget to look up Mary Lennons website and sign her guest book with thanks.
