I use tribalpages.com and have no complaints.

Bear in mind though anyone can download your whole gedcom file with these type of accounts.

PAF is different to the others mentioned - It is a download of a program to your own machine. You can then read a gedcom file without sharing it with others

I think you have misunderstood what Thunder is trying to do.  He is trying to upload a gedcom file to a genealogy webserver.  PAF has a facility for making webpages from a gedcom file that can be uploaded to any Internet site.  However by default it actually includes a link to the gedcom file itself, so that anyone can download the whole gedcom file.

This is  true  :(  -  Because of the talk of everyone being able to see the information (which is always the online scene) I assumed it was wanted off line - One should never assume
