hi there i got today the birth cert of my wifes maternal grandmother, which shows her parents, i cant seem to find them on ancestry.
could someone please help me
from the birth cert it looks like the father is called henry? and the mother is called mary (Wilkes) maiden name?
if any one can help i would be very greatfull
the place of birth i have for mary a v Buthcer is Llanbaddoch (pear tree Cottage.

Could you post more details? When did the birth occur?

the birth occured on what looks like the thirteenth of october 1903
the occupation of father was gardener (not domestic)

OK, with a little luck they'll be together on the 1901 census, given the only marriage of a Henry Butcher with a Mary Wilkes on the same page that I can see is:

This looks like Henry in 1871 in Workhouse with 2 posiible brothers so looks like his parents might have died.

Here's Henry's family from Thornbury (Hfds) parish records, he was the son of Thomas and Sarah, and in his case it actually gives a date of birth 24th Oct 1861.
As you will see there may have been delays for some baptisms.

1852 - George Butcher bapised 23  Oct
1855 - Mary Ann Butcher   "       10th June.
1856 - Thomas Butcher     "        21st Sept.
1860 -  Elizabeth Butcher  "       1st Jan.
1860 - Walter Butcher       "       19th Mar
1862 - Henry Butcher        "        7th Dec. (birth 24th Oct 1861)
1863 - James Butcher       "        18th Oct

and there is a Thomas Butcher baptised 19th Aug 1866 son of Jemima. 
I can't find Jemima in 1861, but here is your family

using freebmd I think Thomas may have married Sarah Berry in the April - June qtr 1843, registered Tenbury.     so there is room for more children
