census lookup Norfolk 1841-1871

Looking for Chaplin Johnson born 1797 in Elmham, Norfolk, England.  died March 1886.

married a susanna or susan.

Already looked at 1881 census and found he was living with son and family.

Now looking for his birth record and/or marriage record.   Married before 1817 that is when John was born.
 
I am now looking for  other sons/daughters he may of had or some reference to his parents.

Hi Sheryl,

On the 1851 census your Chaplin is CHAPLING JOHNSON
aged 54 and a farmer of 2 acres & as you said born in North Elmham, NFK
He lived at Church Hill, Mitford with his wfe Susan aged 57 & also born in North Elmham.
Their grand daughter Mary Ann aged 9yrs is with them.

Another JOHNSON that may interest you is Mary JOHNSON a widow aged 45 & her son William aged 16 yrs and a Brickmakers Lab.
William was born in North Elmham.
They are also living at Church Hill Mitford, They are with Mary's parents Edward & Elizabeth SMITH.

These are the only Johnsons on the census that were born in Elmham.

Thank you for the 51 census it would be interesting to see what is on the 61 census.

I am now trying to think of who the granddaughter. I must be missing a child of Chaplin's.

Living North Elmham.

It was very hard to read but I am almost sure this correct. Tried to trace the kids in 1851 but couldn't find Philip or Thomas. Possibles for Elizabeth and William

Couldn't find any other Johnsons in N. Elmham.
