1841/61 Look up please :) BLAKEY
« on: Saturday 18 August 07 04:22 BST (UK) »
Also looking for Anthony Blakey born around 1803 and wife Dorothy Hall b abt 1805, probably in Durham / Sunderland.

First child was b abt 1833 so may just miss out on the 1831, if that exists.

Children's names include William, Richard, Anthony, Ann, Dorothy and Margaret.

Assuming residence in Durham.

Anthony was a cordwainer in 1851 census.

Wishing anyone kind enough to help a terrific day!

Thank you in advance.

Kelmark, 1831 did not give names and is not readily available.

In 1841 ages were rounded to 5 years in many cases.

This looks like them in 1861.....

I found these on the IGI - they might fit with your family somewhere:

Anthony Blakey = Catherine Boan 17 Aug 1789 Auckland St Andrew Durham.

Possible children chr in same church with father Anthony and mother Catherine Bone:

Ann b 1 Mar 1799 chr 31 Mar 1799

PS. Also found this but in Yorkshire:

The 1851 census states that Anthony was born in St. Giles parish in Durham City.  HO107/2391 folio 115  page 33

St Giles:

Anthony Blakey born 10 July 1802, baptised 11 July 1802 6th child of John Blakey, weaver, and Elizabeth late Westwick of Leeds.[Yorkshire]

St Nicholas:

Richard, Anthony, Ann, Dorothy, William and Margaret are said to be born St. Nicholas parish.  I can only find the baptism of Ann at St. Nicholas:  30 Sept 1838 daughter of Anthony and Dorothy Blakey
