Janet Johnstone    27   Spinster of 148 High Street, Dumfries, Housekeeper, dau. of James Johnstone, Iron Fitter and Agnes Johnstone, M.S. Dunlop (deceased).

Married at 148 High Street, Drumfries after banns according to the forms of the Church of Scotland.

Witnesses: Henry Thomson Bell and Donaldry (?? hard to read) Johnstone.

Note: Marriage address seems unsual in that same address of Janet and next dodor to Walter!!

hi regarding the name bell and address 3 john street maryhill i stay in maryhill for over 50 years not heard of john street maryhill i am thinking that the john street no 3 is the offices of glasgow council as they have a collection office there for comumity taxes and the cencus for glasgow at that time may have been run from there i will try and find out for definite if there was ever a john street in maryhill the john street is back entrance to glasgow city chambers george square  city centre glasgow hope this is of sum help   harrywrag

maybe looking at the 1881 Census would shed more light on the address.
