Earlier Census than 1841

Would anyone know where I can look up earlier Census than 1841. I am looking for a census showing George Luckhurst born in 1815 in Boughton Blean, Kent. He later married an Elizabeth and lived in Harty at the time of the 1851 Census.

I would be grateful for any help anyone can give.

I wish I could be of more help but my index for Boughton under Blean stops at 1812  :(  According to the index there were seven Luckhurst Families, here are the parents names:-

John & Dorothy Luckhurst
John & Sarah Luckhurst
Moses & Elizabeth Luckhurst
Richard & Ann Luckhurst
Thomas & Elizabeth Luckhurst
Thomas & Sarah Luckhurst
William & Ann Luckhurst

Most of the pre-1841 census notes have not survived - only the extracted data was required to be sent to the government.  In many cases there are only head of household names (sometimes only surnames).

What is available will probably be at local record offices, but you may be lucky and find that the local FHS has put them on microfiche (the ones for Deal in Kent are available from Kent FHS, but I'm not sure about B-u-B - check www.kfhs.org.uk).
