Wesleyan Chapel Stratford upon Avon
« on: Tuesday 21 August 07 12:30 BST (UK) »
My grandparents were married in the Wesleyan Chapel, Birmingham Road, Stratford upon Avon. I am looking for a photograph and/or details of the building. Is the chapel still standing? Can anyone locate it on a map (I can use grid references).
I have looked everywhere I can think of without any luck.

Not sure if it is still standing, as the current Methodist Chapel is not far from the Parich Church, and is a comparatively recent building, and the only one I know.  At the time of interest in this thread, the Higginsons were a strong Methodist family and later one of them, Thomas, adapted a farm building in Luddington for use as a Chapel.  This was opened in 1932, just after Thomas died.  He was a Methodist Local Preacher, and I have a photo of a Methodist garden party held at Little Luddington Farm about 1925.
