If you would like to let me know the names of brides and grooms and approx year of marriages I will "keep my eyes open" when looking through the local newspapers ( which I search through at least once a fortnight). Some of the wedding reports contain a trememndous amount of detail.

Thank you for such a great offer - I am very grateful!
The time frame for the first born family in Ripley is 1892- 1920 and for those 8 children I have year & qtr and the name of the spouse.

After that I have their children! Again I have year & quarter & names.
These dates will be about the 1920s /1930s.
How does that fit with what you are researching and is that the time frame/s when the reports might appear?

If so I'll send you a list by PM!

In NZ there are wonderful reports - descriptions of dresses, flowers, gifts received, the wedding breakfast, the hymns chosen and where the couple went on honeymoon!

If you message me the names and quarters of the marriages I will keep my "eyes open" for the reports -I search through all years-for my family and local history. The areas I cover are Ripley, Heanor , Codnor, Loscoe (but not Derby itself)  Wedding reports from years 1920-30 are often quite detailed-and sometimes include gift lists.

Remember me ?
I went to Teignmouth to visit your relatives grave.
I live near Ripley and there is a super Family History Group called DARG who meet at the Birchwood Chapel in Somercotes, Derbys every Wed morning. They have many transcriptions of the parish records for Derbyshire and will I am sure hold the entries for Ripley also - they are held chapel by chapel but I think they also have an alphabetical index by surname.
If you need any further help let me know - as I could go up there next Wed for you and take a look.
