Has anybody researched their family background and discovered that their partner is also a relation?

Could be interesting! :D :D ;)

Yeah buddy. Me and the missus are both descended from Cedric the Headless, Canute's chair placer ;)

But in serious answer, no but I have read at least 3 Rootschatter posts, one within the last week where they were related.
Southern or Southan [Hereford , Monmouthshire & Glos], Jenkins, Meredith and Morgan [Monmouthshire and Glos.], Murrill, Damary, Damry, Ray, Lawrence [all Middx. & London], Nethway from Kenn or Yatton. Also Riley and Lyons in South Africa and Riley from St. Helena.

Actually, a friend of mine who got me started in researching my tree at a serious level.  We read each others work and low and behold.  We found that a male acestor in both our trees married the same woman.  First husband died and then she married my ancestor and had more children.  We are friends and relatives (well 350 years apart).  Explains our weird sense of humor.

After many years research, I can link my own tree to my husband's via several marriages - in law relationships though not blood (as yet!). :)

When I met my husband's family we discovered that his Great Aunt had been my stepfathers first wife. Not sure I can get my head around the relationship although obviously not a blood one.

I am trying to prove a link with me and my hubbys DAVIES line!

Both lived in the same area,
Both had coal merchant businesses
Both spoke fluent Welsh

So when I find the link you will be the 1st to know!  ;D
