Plumb lookup

There is a James H Plumb in the army barracks in Northampton in 1881.
Have you seen it. Wrong initial I know and a little too old but.......No place of birth given and in 1901 he IS at another army area of Aldershot.

Hi again Carol,
Yes the Mary Elizabeth Quincey in 1891 is the one he marries and has a daughter May with.
The 13 year old neice Lucy in 1881 is the daughter of Lucy Redhead's elder sister Eleanor and a John Ragsdale/Ragsdell .Lucy Redhead and Eleanors maiden name was Waller and they all came from Oundle.There was also Mary who married a Richard Plumb(second husband-her 1st husband Mathew Tate died in 1857) and was James' mother,and a George and James Waller as well.

That may very well be him .He and Elizabeth Quincey went on to live in Farnham and he does have somethinfg to do with Aldershot.

I got doubly distracted here. First I followed the thread head which said 1891 census and then  I was looking for Freeman - I supposed a son from an earlier marriage. Once I was able to sort out what I was actually looking for it was not so hard. He is in the army in barracks in 1881, born Oundle but transcribed as John Plumb:
