Hi trees

I had a look on the 1881 for the street that it was on, and there are about 5 or 6 pubs and none of them are anything like I thought, or called the Saxon ???

Hi Ricky and Trees,
Just to say that there is a pub in Abingdon called The Saxton Arms as this is where i live. Dont know if its the same William Young but on the site www.1881pubs.com it gives him as living at the Almshouses in Abingdon with wife Mary. Both age 66 and it gives William as deaf. Hope it helps.

Hi Sue yes this is the William he had retired from the pub Interesting that there is a Saxton Arms but do you know if the Crown in Bath Street still exists?I'd like to get a photograph if it does.
