Not 100% as it is very distorted but the badge looks like a Drum Major.  Can't make out the colour of his medals so can't really work on an approx date.  Looks 40/50s though.

This looks a black and white photo that has been hand tinted. The inverted stripes on his sleeve would be length of service stripes. The badge on his right arm looks like a lyre - this was used by many regiments to mark bandsmen.
Southern or Southan [Hereford , Monmouthshire & Glos], Jenkins, Meredith and Morgan [Monmouthshire and Glos.], Murrill, Damary, Damry, Ray, Lawrence [all Middx. & London], Nethway from Kenn or Yatton. Also Riley and Lyons in South Africa and Riley from St. Helena.

Hello
On the back of the portait photo it is dated Sep 1929.
I dont know what he is holding, is it a riding crop or a sergeants baton ?
I was hoping that this one could have been his first picture in uniform, to give me an idea when he joined the army.
On the back of the group photo, it says " me inspecting some of my boys , consentration camp in the background ".
Dont know if this was a joke or not.
My friend says that the truks are American.
Any help appreciated.
