« on: Thursday 30 August 07 12:29 BST (UK) »
Howdy!

Im searching for the McMillan family of Campbeltown.
Charles McMillan born c 1864 in Campbeltown. His father may have been John, Charles, Thomas, Peter or George, from what he has named his children, with wife Catherine Owens. They married in Belfast in 1881

Regards
Matt :)

1871 Census - 18 Forth Street, Glasgow Barony

Malcolm McMillan      37     Carter    b.Campbelltown, Argyll
Catherine McMillan   36                      ditto
John McMillan           11     Mill boy      ditto
Dugald McMillan        9                        ditto
Malcolm McMillan       7                       ditto
Margaret McMillan     5                       ditto
Charles McMillan       3                       ditto

The only Charles McMillan born Campbelltown was born 1868 so is this the same one?   He was born 30/8/1868 Campbelltown, son of Malcolm McMillan and Catherine McCorkindale.

Hi Annette, thanks for the lookup. Im not 100% sure if this is my Charles, I can only go on names he gave his children. He did name two John and Catherine, possibly after his mother and brother. theres no Malcolm though...
Thanks again for the lookup ;D
Bless you!
Matt :)
