a quick look at the 1901 census for armadale says that there was 23 bishop's living there, 12 males and 11 females.

there was 4 heads of families

helen...age 39
andrew...age 45 & jane....age 43
john...age 48 & helen...age 37
thomas...age 55 & jane...age 47

do you have any dates of death, ages or names for the Bishop Family memebers that you are looking for ?  :)

Agnes Bishop    d.o.b 1851

Peeps,  one of Burns' daughters married a guy Bishop from that area, I think he was the Factor of Polkemmet Estate, there is a list of Burns's descendants on "scotfamtree" I think she is buried in Whitburn. Could you be off the great man himself?........Skoosh.
