Richard Eddy--G/son--2
I can't find Richard Eddy in the 1901 census, he is not in Durham with the rest of the family.
This Richard Eddy was dead by March 1903 from his daughters Doris Eddy birth certificate March 1903.
One death registered for a Richard Eddy 1902, in the Will there was no mention of a wife or two children...this is the family I previously had thought I was connected to.
Janie Thomas didn't re-marry until the end of 1908, which was odd in those days, there is also a death for a Richard Eddy 1907
She had gave his profession as a Gold miner on birth certificates of children BUT on Richard Eddy b1899 Marriage he said his father was a COAL miner.
The St Ives Richard Eddy was a tin miner, then coal miner, so possibly could have got involved with Gold mining after meeting Janie because her family were.
One lesson I learned...going wrong can cost a lot of money..and then you have to start again
