Oooh thats a bit far from me, Ellisons are still in Salford :-) maybe one day I'll go. I'd love to see one. I'd also love to know who this friend is of the original poster! Hurrah for distant relatives.

Hi Chelsea

Welcome to RootsChat :)

Hi Chelsea

I won't name the friend (who is actually an ex-work colleague of my husbands)on here but she does live in Manchester (will PM you).

I researched her tree as a project to keep me busy when I had 7 months off work due to a knee injury. I no longer have access to her tree as I have either deleted it or it was on my previous PC!

I did however provide the friend with the tree as a Gedcom and printed in a file.

There is one of these on St Annes pier. If you have done the family research I would be interested in how far back you got?

I am related to a branch of Ellisons one of whom was the architect for Salford Cathedral and I have often wondered if this family is related.

Hello

I am aware this thread is many years old however I am researching into my family tree and wondered if anyone still active on this website could provide me with some information in regards to this thread.
