Hi Edo

Do you have any more information about your George Gilbert Edmonds? Do you know where he was from or roughly when he left Ireland?

There is only one Edmonds (Mary) in the National Archive "Ireland-Australia transportation database"...

http://www.nationalarchives.ie/search/index.php?category=18&subcategory=147&searchDescTxt=asmond&style=null&PHPSESSID=f6q11f922r36em4l5vcf2r5jm5#searchform

But this database was given to the Australian Government so you have probably checked it already.

Sorry to not be of more help.

The only successful search for George Edmonds finds an anglican curate in the Diocese of Ossary in 1828...

What religion was your George?
