"Field Trip"
« on: Saturday 01 September 07 12:25 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to co-ordinate some gen research plus family reunions in Essex - Billericay and Halstead specifically.
My problem is trying to find somewhere to stay that allows easy access (if and when required) to both places with special interest probably in cemeteries.

I went gaga,  googling last night for a 'local forum' that might offer advice, and a similar amount of time spent  hunting through 'tourism sites' just for inexpensive accommodation, both of which left me none the wiser and disinclined to visit Essex which I knew a little of as a child (too long ago).

In doing a similar excercise for Worcestershire, I had no bother at all, and that's where I'd be headed after Essex.

Is there anyone on here with Essex knowhow who can advise, please?  I'm due to travel in about 10 days time.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

James.
