Wonderful pictures, Migky
Sorry I could only spare you a few minutes, but we were fantastically busy, we reckon about 2500 visitors with peak of 750 for the carol service, but I think you may have gone by then. The weather was appalling and whilst we had erected a gazebo outside for the donkey, she was spooked by the wind flapping over it. The sanctuary who had lent us the donkey for our nativity scene, asked could they bring her inside
What bring a donkey into our Grade 2* listed building on which we have just spent £6.5 million???
The answer was obvious, as St Francis was a friend of all animals, Yes, but just make sure you've got some large bin bags
She was ever so well behaved until the carols, and then she joined in with Oh Come All ye Faithful etc, and added a rather rich, but off tempo baritone to the proceedings.
We catered superbly and accurately apart from the mulled wine, everything else was more or less spot on, but we over catered for the mulled wine by about 2 gallons. So don't expect much sense out of me tonite
We could do with a 'merry' smiley
As I'm posting I notice that Annie has joined the thread. Annie, we had a large Christmas tree, lit but undecorated, and asked people to record their wishes on candle shape tags and decorate the tree. I put one there for you, for a very special person who won't be there this Christmas in person, but I'm sure will be there in spirit in many people's lives
Now where did I put that mulled wine
LOL
