Glad to see that on your other post you have been directed to www.familysearch.org    I feel a bit guilty that I did not think of that.  It is generally a first port of call and I tend to assume people have looked there before they post on rootschat.  It is a wonderful resource if the particular parish you want happens to be on it.  Not all are though.  Never assume anything will have to be my motto from now on I think.
