John Mitchell - poet
« on: Wednesday 05 September 07 13:16 BST (UK) »
Apparently John Mitchell was a poet, born in 1863 in Cabrach, scotland or Dufftown.  Owned a hotel in Aberdeen, not sure of what date.  Can anyone tell me if there is a book out or if anyone has any knowledge of this gentleman.  Thanks

A hard one this one! I would probably contact the University of Aberdeen Library to see whether they have any further reference to the book.

University of Aberdeen · King's College · Aberdeen AB24 3FX
Telephone: +44 (0)1224-272000
www.abdn.ac.uk

I can only really see a couple of references to it including www.abdn.ac.uk/elphinstone/kist/search/display.php?cmil01.dat

The way the book ref. has been written up, "University Aberdeen, Press" makes me wonder if it may have actually been printed/published by the University originally?

Regards.

Monica  :)
