Hello Kokonut,

I would try to locate your family in the the 1901 Census.

I would post a message under "Census lookup" putting down the address where David was born in 1899.

Once you have this information you will be able to search for a Birth Certificate for David and Annie. It will also aid your search for a marriage certificate too. :D

Hi Kokonut
Have you tried getting certificates from www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk it's a pay-to-view site but you can download BDM certificates and 1901 census.   Not bad value if you don't have too many "misses".    I noticed in the 1881 census, an Annie Scott aged 10 born in Sorn (not too far from Catrine), daughter of a coal miner - could this be your Annie?
