census lookup - odiham

I would be grateful if someone could look up the 1841 - 1871 census records for Edward Elliot who came from Queen Hithe, London and his wife Mary who was born around 1807 at Odiham.  They were married at Odiham in 1827, so hopefully they were still there at the time of the census.

The 1841 does not show actual birthplaces - only whether they were born in the county in which they were living.  Also - ages from 16yrs on were rounded down to the nearest 5 years

You haven't shown Edwards birthyear - only Mary's and no childrens names have been given so this entry is guesswork based on Edward not being born in Hampshire.  I doubt it's the right one as the children are too young for an 1827 marriage

and .........apart from the entry by Carole ..... there is only one Edward Elliott living in Odiham in 1841 and his wife's frances....... and he's 65.

That entry sounds very much like it could be Edward juniors parents

I was thinking that Carole but I think it was his wife that came from there, not him.

Thank you both for your help here. 

Unfortunately I know nothing more about Edward at this stage nor do I have details of any children - so a bit of a long shot really!

I agree that the childrens' birth dates are a bit out, although I guess still possible.

Not too sure where to go from here.  Do you think later census records might help i.e. if there were older children they might appear back with parents?

I couldn't find baptisms for any children of Edward and Mary Elliott in Odiham  or anywhere else in Hamsphire

....and when you tap 'London' into ancestry .... there's no Edward elliotts at all in 1841.
