Hi my name is Pete Stevens i am new to Rootschat so if i make any mistakes please forgive me.
I am searching for a Charles Kerslake who lived in Somerset or Dorset and died between 1845 and 1873.
His wife was Elizabeth Kerslake " maiden name Ellis"
who i believe married a George Burton sometime before 1873.
Is there any one out there who can help.

Hi PeteStevens.

Easiest thing for us too serach out for you would be an 1871 census entry. Best info for that would be any children of Charles and Elizabeth, or elizabeth's 1881 census entry to give an idea of age & birthplace.

1881: www.familysearch.org

Could this be your Elizabeth Kerslake?

RG10/2458 Folio 14, Page 19, Parish of Banwell in Somerset

Church Street, entry 88

Elizabeth Kerslake, Head, Widow, 40, Laundress, Winscombe
Mary Jane, Dau, Single, 11, Scolar, Banwell
James, Son, Single, 9, Scolar, Banwell
Julia, Dau, Single, 7, Scolar, Banwell
Selina, Dau, Single, 7, Scolar, Banwell
Elizabeth, Dau, Single, 6, Scolar, Banwell

Free BMD gives a George Burton married Q2 1872 in Beaminster. No entry for a spouse though.
