Census Look up Please

I have found an Ellen Kerr living with her father Thomas Kerr (gunmaker) in the 1851 census.  Thomas died in 1857.

Can anyone find Ellen in any future censuses.  In the 1841 census she was 25 years old, not sure if this is correct.

1851 census- high street, dumfries

thomas...age 70...retired gunmaker
ellen...dau...age 27...born dumfries
frances heman...grandson(son of ellen)...age 6...born glasgow

Hi Joe

I had not picked up on the grandson living with Thomas.  Thanks for that.  I went back to the  Dumfries 1851 census site (free) and found a Frances Henry who I think will be the same person.  If Frances is still living with Ellen in the 1861 census  it might make it easier to find her.

I'm struggling to find Ellen/Helen or Frances/Francis in the 1861 

Does Thomas's death cert give information on his wife. I'm attempting top find Ellen's real birthdate/baptism to track her down and the only baptism showing with father Thomas in Dumfrieshire 1815-1825 is a Helen Moffat Kerr, bpt. 3 March 1816. parents THomas Kerr and Janet Black, Morton, DFS.

Do you have any other information at all that might help - e.g. siblings, etc. ?

Hi Gadget

Thomas married Mary Crosbie on 27th October 1807 and their children were Mary, Isabella, Ellen, Jessie, Helen and Margaret.  Mary and Helen were dead by 1861 and Isabella and Margaret were married and I have their details.  I have only Ellen and Jessie to find.  Jessie was not living at home in 1851.  I am not sure where she was.

The age of Ellen in the 1841/51 census varies.

I do not have death certificate details.  I got some of the details from the grave stone of Thomas.
