Francis Aflick       28    Tinsmith     All family shown born Edinburgh

Cor, did I hit gold  :D :D :D

I've been having eye trouble for the last few days - moving house and whatever and Redkop's Balls in Liverpool and all sorts of things but I would love to think that I struck gold   :D

I'll leave you all to it now  :)

Just for the record, this is the census return in 1891, Oldham that made my nose twitch. The names were so like the ones that Yvonne mentioned for Annie's children - and it was the only Annie in Oldham who was born Scotland in 1875 - both together was Miss Marple-ish

RG12/3305 Folio 31 Page 18

59 Slate Street, Oldham

Francis Affleck, 37 ?, Tin plate worker, b.Scotland
Annie,34, b.Scotland
Annie,16, speed tester in cotton mill, b.Scotland
Peter, 15, cotton spinner, b.Scotland
James, 13,scholar,b.Scotland
Francis,11,scholar,b.Scotland
Elizabeth, scholar, b.Scotland
Richard,7,scholar, b.Oldham
Henry,5, scholar, b.Oldham
Janet, 3, b.Oldham
