Thanks Mudge,I always appreciate your work.Poor Joan had adopted out five children by the time she was twenty three,the last one six months before she was married.No wonder she looks sad.Joan died from a miscarriage at age 25.We have managed to find four of the adoptees,so sort of a happy ending.Hi Irene,thanks for your sensitive rendering of the photo,very much appreciated.Gereon.
