'Spenc Mains'

An ancestor I am researching was a late gardener at 'Spencs Mains' according to his M.I.
Doing a 'google' on Spenc Mains brings me to Melrose where the Spence family had an estate.
In Chirnside Churchyard there are several 'Spenc' names on a headstone which also mention a Spenc estate.
Does anyone know if there was also a Spence Mains near Chirnside?
