Marriage details - William Rainey and Elizabeth Graham

Hi All,

I would be very grateful for details of the marriage of William James Rainey and Elizabeth Graham in the Belfast area....according to the 1911 census they had been married for 12 years, so it would have been 1898/99.

I am really trying to find details of Elizabeth's father's name and her address at the time of the wedding.

William James Rainey married Elizabeth Graham, on the 30 April 1898 in St Patrick's, Church of Ireland, Ballymacarrett, Belfast, Parish of Knockbreda, County Down.

Had another look-see and found these, I don't know if they relate to your search, but if you have a death date for William, you can check if it ties in with this birth.
William James Rainey, born 10 Nov., 1868.
Parents,   Thomas Rainey and Ellen O'BRIAN.
Registered in Belfast No 6 District, Co Antrim.

A marriage.
Thomas Rainey and Ellen O'BRIEN, married on the 31 May 1859, in St Anne's, Church of Ireland, Parish of Belfast, Co Antrim.

PS. I'm a bit thick this time of the morning and just picked on the fact you have the 1911 census return. On the census, what is Elizabeth's age and place of birth ?

In the 1911 census...Ward:Victoria, Parish: Knockbreda, Address: 28 Downpatrick Road.....Elizabeths age is given as 37......She has two brothers staying with the family...Robert (34) and Thomas G. (27).

Thomas was a stoker on the Titanic....he survived the sinking.

I am trying to find out more about the Grahams as it may be the only way to knock down the brick wall of finding my Grand-Parents marriage.

Hi Joe.
On the 1911 census return, the last entry on the right of the form, should have her place of birth entered. the county may be all they have put down, but it will give a search area.
Did William James work in with the age on the census ?.

Hi Dixie,

Sorry, I forgot to say that Elizabeth's place of birth is given as Belfast City.....William's age is given as 40.

What I forgot to mention is that my Grand-mother's name was Mary Graham who I am hoping will turn out to be a sibling of Elizabeth.
