Griff Rhys Jones comes across to me as the kind of guy who wouldn't be too bothered by skeletons tumbling out of the closet  ;D Jayson

Me too! And I am hoping he has lots to tumble out!!! ;) ;) ;) ;)

I found it to be very interesting.
Paul O'Grady makes a bit more sense now that I understand the timetable mix up.

Should we have a prize for whoever finds out what actually became of his great grandmother?  :-X

Unfortunately, Rugby is on ITV3, so I'm having to record WDYTYA and watch it later.  That's why I'm on the comp now!!

I wish these programmes weren't so painfully contrived though    ::)

He has four certificates arrive (alledgedly 'ordered' by Griff... hmm..yeah, as if) and, lo! the first one isn't his ancestor! Neither is the 2nd..or the third! I wonder, could the last one possibly be the person he's looking for....

Yes!!!

Quelle surprise

It is all organised by the BBC.

He basically said that the programme decided that they would be searching that particular line. He was much more interested in following his father's father's father's line. Or at least that is what he seemed to say on the Paul O'Grady Show today.

Well I thought it was a good programme !  He started off correctly as we are all told ... he talked to the oldest member of the family; she had gathered extra info from another family member; they had got a certificate to start them off ... none of this rushng off to Ireland with no research done first like last week !

Isn't Griff facially like a lot of his family members !   And his Mum took the bad news well ..

I thought it was intersting ... and a good programme; genealogy done properly, and yet it was a 'popular' presentation too !

Sloppy sloppy sloppy

No bith certs for the 4 children, no marriage cert, no explanation why (other than occupation) the Llanelli Daniel Price was the right one.. no confirmation the widow was Sarah Louise.. no explanation why she was listed in the paper as having 3 children, eldest 11, when they had 4.. no explanation why Jane was in Liverpool when the others allegedly in Llanelli

What an excellent programme! Head and shoulders above John Hurt last week.

Fascinating about his G-Grandfather's fight and nice to see he had to wait 'several days' for his death certs, just like the rest of us!  ;D

Hopefully the rest of the series is as good as that
