could you date this photo please??
« on: Friday 21 September 07 14:18 BST (UK) »
Hi Folks

This photo is supposed to include my great grandfather (2nd from left, back row) but I am rather dubious, as he died in 1916 and the picture looks later than that to me.

But, as I am no expert, I thought I would ask those who are! Any ideas?

Many thanks, Judy  :) :)
Best wishes, Judy :-))

Judy what a great photo...I would say going by some pics I have that this is more likely to be a 1920s photo but i could be wrong...Pru or Old Rowley would be more acurate :D

going by the headwear of the women in this picture and by their attire you could add another ten years plus on to your year date of 1916.  I would suggest that this group were photographed sometime between 1925 and 1935.

Thanks very much Indaloman  :) :)

You have made the faces much clearer! I think the man in question must be a relation, as there is a similarity in him to my great grandad.

Thanks for taking the time and trouble. Much appreciated! Judy  ;)
