Can somene please help make this photo clearer please

 The man in the hat with his hands in his pocket is my gt gt gt grandfather (circa) 1870 , would it be possible for someone to make the picture  bigger and clearer, focusing just on the one person.
Ive tried to make it bigger but it just blurs.

If you follow Cazza's tutorial , near the top of the board , it will help you do a better scan. Then we will have a better picture to work with.

Focusing on just your g-g-g-grandfather is good (how many people can say they have a photo of their g-g-g-grandfather?) but please don't neglect the rest of this wonderful picture! It's a lovely bit of history.

    Sorry i should have said- the photo was emailed to me, dont know who has the original, and we have just moved house and cant find the disc for the scanner.. thanks your help anyway.

Here's my effort ......though it doesn't improve the clarity much with such a low resolution combined with the tiny size .. This is only 2'5 x 1 .1 inch so no good to print but I have a copy that will print4" x 9" if you want it ... ( pm me with an address to email it to  if you do please )

hi again, i`ve managed to get a relative to rescan the original picture and email it to me , apparently this is the required dpi`s....  thanks
