I only came across this pic of my Nana recently - had never seen it before. It's not very good quality - any chance it could be smartened up?

Here is a quick clean for you Stoney.

A higher resolution scan would be much better to work with.

A quick one from me.  As Harry says scanning between 300-600dpi would get you a much better result.
