I think I was the culprit, can this picture be fixed please?

Hi,

I think I was the guilty one who decided to make the little picture better with the aid of crimping scissors. 

Is there any chance that my workmanship can be removed and the pic cleaned up a wee bit.

I have scanned at 600dpi.

I hope you don't think I am being cheeky for asking just one small favour.
Would it be possible to fill in the gap in my mother's top teeth. 
 
Even to this day she has no gap, must have been a flaw in the original pic
