I like her. She is one of the very few positive role models for young women in today's media, to my mind.

 Looking forward to tonights programme.
 I hope they don't just skate over the facts in search of  knee jerk emotional response tonight

There's a Dr A. G. Vordeman, ornithologist in Java who seems to have had a hand in the discovery of the cause of Beri-Beri. I wonder if its the same person who has insects named after him.

My father has a very insignificant insect named after him but I cant find any proof of this. Perhaps this is another family myth. :)
