re the first lot of Birth Marriages and Death i posted i did only look for Gurdens in Abergavveny and not further afield.

I have not searched later than 1920.

I think i have found the father Williams marriage:~

hi i can search the full BMD 1837-2005 but from 1920-1985 you have to browse the images qtr by qtr but i have just looked at 1921-1924 for you and there were no Gurden / Evans births in 1923

Maise M Gurden mmn Helm  Abergavveny 11a 66 Q3 1922

in fact there are no Gurden / Evans births in the whole of that period there is however a GUrden / Onions birth and wondered if this could be what you are looking for?

Albert V Gurden b. Q1 1923 Birmingham 6d 354

edited to correct spelling of Evans!

can check 1925 for you.

i wondered if Evans when spoken with a heavy Welsh accent to someone in England could sound like Onions
