A bit of help needed please, me kb's are too big!!!Completed with thanks.....
« on: Thursday 27 September 07 05:59 BST (UK) »
Hello all.   :D

Could someone please tell me what I am doing wrong please and tell me the correct way to do it.   ???

I tried to attach two old photo's to see if you clever people out there could make some improvements to them.

On doing this a sign flashed up saying that an error had occurred, so i presumed that two photo's were too much for the system to handle.    ::)

I then tried one photo on its own and the same happened.    :o

What am I doing wrong please.     :-\

Many thanks,
F H

Hi g a r.

What you described was exactly what I did with the exception of checking the 800 pixel size or the 500kb.   ???

Can you explain these for me please.   :-\

hi,

as an example, the above image is 153kb (size taken up in memory) ADDED: or file size
and 631 pixels wide by 846 pixels long

highlighted below

if your file size is over 500kb you will get an error

if your width is much beyong 800 you will have to scroll side to side to view your picture (this will not prevent you from posting, it's just a convenience thing)

oops - it's been a long day,

should have mentioned that when you save as a jpeg, you may have the option to change the compression. You would only need to decrease 1 or 2 % to get below the 500 kb limit

oh dear it's really been a long day - the above pictorial will work to resize your pic which of course should also allow you to get under the 500 kb limit
