Hi frod

We were so engrossed in trying to find your family that we neglected to say Welcome to RootsChat.

There are quite a few siblings identified above for Ambrose and quite a few children for Ambrose and Emma. If you would like us to try to find out what happened to any of them on later censuses, could I suggest that you begin a new thread for each one (otherwise this thread might become very confused) ?

Just to clarify one thing from above, toni* has identified a marriage in 1893 for a Richmond Ford. The bride was Martha Jane Thomas but the groom was not Ambrose’s brother who (I think) died in the second quarter of 1851.

Thanks DS and toni for all your research on Ambrose Ford and family. I had already looked at the census data from 1841 to 1901 so was familiar with most of Ambrose's brothers and sisters and children.
Thankyou for the information about the marriages of some of Ambrose's children. I recognise some of the names from what my great aunt and grandfather told me about their cousins.
