Forbes, Depoe, Mackenzie, Smith

I am trying to find out more information about

Andrew Forbes ((1840) Paisley) marrried to Grace Millar (Port Glasgow), they had a son Andrew ((1832)Girvan paisley) who married Sarah Depoe (1836 ? maybole Ayr) possibly other children born to Andrew + Grace.- Cany anyone shed any light on this information?

According to the IGI on family search they also had the following children

Peter Forbes..21 dec 1830 paisley
Alison Forbes...8 march 1834 paisley
Peter Forbes..14 june 1835...paisley

i am guessing that the first Peter died as a young child

Peter Forbes..age 6..occ Lupport appart

Agnes Forbes..age 4..occ Frane the peaish

Living at Thorn Village, Paisley Low

All born Renfrewshire and this is a transcription and no idea what half the occupations could mean

Hi Mandy,

Found Andrew and Sarah on later census after their marriage...i take it you have these. Just one thing though, the Andrew on the census was born Girvan, Ayrshire and the Andrew to Andrew Forbes and Grace millar was born in Paisley Renfrewshire.

Where did you get Andrew jnrs parents names from?

I got the information from searches my father had carried out.
It looks like Andrew Forbes born 27/2/1853-Born Ayr may be the one, as Jessie Forbes (1877) birth certificate names Andrew Forbes (Blacksmith) and Sarah Depo as her mother.
I cannot find any info on this Sarah Depo(e)

Hi Liverpoollass

My McKenzies married the Forbes from Ayr, later going on to marry Jennings who originated from Co Mayo Ireland.
Ther are also Smith & Strathearn i the earlier marriages.

Any connection?

Hi Mandy,

Have you got Andrew Forbes and Sarah's marriage record? This would give you both Andrew and Sarah's parents names...it should be on Scotlands People if you haven't
