Hi Kerry,

There are some on the IGI which you can find on www.familysearch.org.  Some are records extracted from parish records and these should be accurate but others have been submitted by LDS members and should be treated with caution!

There is a National Burial Index.  Coverage varies for each county. See:

And of course the IGI has very few burials - but lots of baptisms!  ;D

And births are on freebmd after 1837.  If you find a birth on there and want the baptism, identify the church/es in the area and consider asking your local LDS family history centre to get in the microfilm of the relevant parish register.  It's quite cheap!

Hi Kerry

I would suggest you have a browse at the "stickied" links at the top of the Beginners board & also the sub/child board called beginners links.
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/board,47.0.html

If you then go to the county boards where you think/know your folks came from there are lots more links there as well.

Another of my favourites which has links for both church and civil records is UKBDM which has overall and county links

Also  - Genuki is great for UK links
