Holy Sepulchre, Ashington
« on: Saturday 29 September 07 14:30 BST (UK) »
My great great grandmother Bethiah Newman died in Ashington in 1883, but the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (where her husband and children were buried at a later time) was not opened until 1887. Has any idea where she would be buried in those days? Was St Johns church open at that time? (I've spent a while looking for her as she was down in a few censuses as Delliah, and the rest as Bethiah.) :-\ Thanks for looking

The west end of Ashington (High Market end) was in Bothal parish, the other end of the town formerly named Hirst was in Woodhorn Parish.
