New Tipperary Records online

Got this email today from 'Armagh Ancestry' 

'As part of the continuing Irish Family History Foundation's Online Research Service (ORS) we are pleased to announce the availability of the records of the North Tipperary Genealogy Centre online. This adds another 400,000 baptismal, birth, death and marriage records that can be searched and purchased online.'

This information was posted on the RootsChat Irish Resources board on Monday. Armagh Ancestory must have been on holidays but they could have let you know before Christmas as several of the Irish History Foundation centres put their birth, death and marriage records online a few weeks ago.

Perhaps they will have a special offer again next Christmas.

There are gaps in the records I think I need, so not sure how much help they are going to be.

You can go on the site and enter details you are looking for and see if they bring anything up.  This way you will know if it is worth buying credit.

It has helped me as I had been looking for these records for a long time.  Mind you they have not solved the problem that I have.

I think there are too many gaps in the records I am looking at.

Too expensive for me, especially as I'm not 100% sure it's the right person I want.

Have you got a Latter Day Saints church near where you live?  I first found the index at the church and then I had alook on the site.  I had an idea where the person I was looking for was from.

Thanks for the tip (no pun intended!). Found 3 distinct possibilities not able to find elsewhere as yet - just have to save the pennies.
