Hello,

I've ordered a marriage cert and what I think may turn out to be Jane's death cert so hopefully one of these will give me the information I need.

Certainly worth a try - but I wouldn't be too optimistic. Marriage cert only has residence at time of marriage on it (in this case I suspect Poplar, Middlesex) not place of birth, and Death cert has only place of death.
The marriage cert should at least tell you if her father has the same name as the christening in Woolwich though.

Coming in late on this - there is a Whetstone near Barnet, now Greater London but would have been Essex rather than Kent
