Hughes in Penninghame, Wigtownshire, Irish connection?
« on: Wednesday 03 October 07 09:47 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone can help me I'm looking for Edward Hughes (1851 in Penninghame) who moves down to Huddersfield in Yorkshire after 1881.

I belive he married Mary Muir or Wilson (1849 Penninghame) in Penning hame and had a possible 5 children

James 1868
James Hughes 1868
William Muir Hughes 1873
Janet Hughes 1875
Robert W Hughes 1879
Peter Hughes 1882 (My ancestor)

All born in Newton Stewart and possibly moved to Lockwood Huddersfield with the parents after 1881.

Can anyone help me with further details of this family including the parents parents who were possibly Irish?

Thanks in advance
Emily
