Riddle/Riddell

I'm looking for the parents of Margaret ( Peggy ) Riddle, born abt 1759, Melrose, Roxburgh. She married William Jackson 19.5.1780, Melrose.There are so many Riddles / Riddells that I'm really confused now. I hope someone can help!

I'm also researching Riddle/Riddell although I'm not as far back as yourself, therefore I am wondering if you may be able to provide some assistance if you are able to.

I have an Adam Riddell married to Isabel Cairns and I have 5 children to them ;
Mary bn. 1805 - died 1880
George bn. 1809
Agnes bn. 1811
Nelly bn. 1813
Margaret bn. 1816

I am a descendant of Mary who had an illegitimate child Agnes who married a John Davidson in Hawick in Sept 1865.

If you can provide any assistance it would be greatly appreciated.
