Is anyone researching please SWAYNE/CLENDINNEN line thru Co Wexford

Have a Cecilia CLENDINNEN Married a JOHN SWAYNE, No marriage dates tho, possibly around 1820s/30s

One of their Children was ANNA SWAYNE

Also a Son Samuel Frederick Alexander SWAYNE born circa 1839


Anna was staying with her grandparents JOHN and MARY CHARLOTTE CLENDINNEN on 1841 Census in Bideford Devon

CLENDINNEN is my Direct Line

Is anyone researching this family please or has access to records they can check this SWAYNE family, kids etc

Hello SeaEagle,

There are three items you require when searching for Irish ancestors.

1. Denomination.
2. Parish
3. Townland.

You'll have to rely on Church records as civil registration in Ireland was not introduced until 1864. Non Catholic marriages were registered from 1845 onwards. When registration for BDMS started in 1864 some people didn't bother with the registration for a few years after that date. Keep your fingers crossed that church records still exist.

Often order in Irish Parish registers thru LDS , but had no luck in finding my swaynes, where i thought they were in wexford..newtownbarry
i think????maybe they might have been from around ballycarney but no parish registers from there filmed by lds, maybe???censuses might be a good idea
im actually looking for a Cecelia Elizabeth Bridgett Swayne, born 1888 in Ballycarney, think may connect
Do u have access to those records??wondering who her parents were

First complete census for Ireland is 1901- only a few fragments for a earlier ones survive.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
