Little Ireland was in Pilkinton, Radcliffe area will try to include a map/ image

I think this is Henry in 1841 HO107; Piece 532; Book: 4; Folio: 5; Page: 4

Fleet Street (perhaps - very feint) Ashton Under Lyne

Henry Simpson 19 yrs moulder (not born in county)
living with parents and family

where is he living on the marriage certificate and where does Mary Ann live?
As I said these pages are quite feint and others around are totally illegible. She may be there.

oops sorry a little large I'm afraid, don't know how to make it smaller.
I have been researching the area recently and already had the image saved to my documents. I found the map on a site about Radcliffe which had allsorts of other info too. Will try to find it again and let you have the link.

I have a feeling that Little Ireland is the wrong Mary Allen.

Yes Heywood, so do I! Henry is fine I ve traced his lot, but the Allens are a complete pain. She said she was born in Ashton (I take this to mean under Lyne) As I say the only George/shoemaker I can find is in Liverpool. I m losing the will to live!
